between SI WRC and IUS was: WRC = 0.0279 IUS + 0.7047 (R2 = 0.654). On the other hand, extrusion of cereals promoted a significant increase in Gastric WRC, probably due to the gelatinization and dispersion of starch. Extrusion and grinding promoted decreases in SI WRC, which was associated with a decrease on the amount of IUS rather than a variation on the feed particle size. Further studies are required in vivo to evaluate the influence of processing on the physicochemical properties of digesta and the gastrointestinal microbial population. Study of Demographic Factors Affecting Neonatal Mortality Due to Respiratory Distress Syndrome in Rural Area of Ahvaz in 2010
Introduction: Neonatal mortality rate is an important index of development in different communities and respiratory distress syndrome is one of the important causes. This study aimed to determine the status and effective demographic factors of neonatal mortality due to respiratory distress syndrome in Rural Area of Ahvaz city Iran. Method: It was a case control study of all neonatal death ...
متن کاملThe Prevalence of Hypothyroidism Based on Risk Factors in Pregnant Women Referred to Shahid Dadbin Clinic, Kerman, Iran
Background & Aims: Since at early pregnancy (<20 week) fetal thyroid gland is undeveloped, normal development of the Fetal brain is highly dependent on maternal thyroid hormones. There are excessive adverse perinatal outcomes associated with overt and subclinical hypothyroidism such as increase of Abortion, preeclampsia, placenta Abruption, LBW, preterm labor, impaired fetal neuropsychological ...
متن کاملGlucose transporter isoform-3 mutations cause early pregnancy loss and fetal growth restriction.
Glucose transporter isoform-3 (GLUT3) is the trophoblastic facilitative glucose transporter. To investigate the role of this isoform in embryonic development, we created a novel GLUT3-null mouse and observed arrested early embryonic development and loss at neurulation stage when both alleles were mutated. This loss occurred despite the presence of other related isoforms, particularly GLUT1. In ...
متن کاملThe Prevalence of Coronary Artery Diseases Risk Factors in Four Regions of Kerman City
Abstract Background and Aims: Cardiovascular diseases (CADs) are the most important causes of mortality and morbidity in the world and in Iran. These diseases are not completely curable but factors affecting them are preventable. The aim of this study was investigation of CAD risk factors in four municipal regions of Kerman city. Methods: From the city po...
متن کاملTransplacental delivery of retinoid: the role of retinol-binding protein and lipoprotein retinyl ester.
Retinoids are required for normal embryonic development. Both embryonic retinoid deficiency and excess result in congenital malformations. There is little understanding of the physiology underlying retinoid transfer from the maternal circulation to the embryo. We now report studies that explore this process using retinol-binding protein-deficient (RBP-/-) mice and mice that express human RBP on...
